A Madisonville man has died after being found during a fire at a home late Monday night.
Madisonville Police said that 67-year-old John Porter was found unresponsive at a fire in the 900 block of East McLaughlin Avenue after 9PM Monday evening.
Fire crews were able to get the fire under control at the home and located Porter. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Hopkins County Coroner Denis Mayfield.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
