Madisonville Police Investigate After Home Struck by Gunfire

Madisonville Police say a home on Virginia Ave. was struck by gunfire late Thursday night.

Officers with the Madisonville Police department responded to a shots-fired call in the 600 block of Virginia Ave. in Madisonville, Kentucky, on Thursday night around 9:30 p.m.

When they got there, officers say they found one bullet entry hole located on the front of a home. Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the slug had traveled into the family room of the home and through a second wall, into an unoccupied bedroom.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
