Deadly Shooting In Owensboro Leads To Homicide Investigation

The Owensboro Police Department continues to investigate a Wednesday morning shooting that left one man dead.

An investigation now underway after a deadly shooting Wednesday morning.

Owensboro Police arrived on scene in the 1700 block of McCulloch Avenue around 9:30am Wednesday morning. One man was found dead inside with a gunshot wound to the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives with the Owensboro Detective Divison & the Evidence Collection Unit were on scene earlier, alongside The Daviess County Coroner to gather information about the shooting.

This shooting remains under investigation. At this time, there are not any suspects.

Our snowy, slick start to the day gave way to a gloomy, gray and chilly afternoon throughout the Tri-State. After only reaching temperatures in the mid 30s early in the day, we will see temperatures gradually tumble back down into the upper 20s by 10 o’clock. Despite the gradual clearing conditions overnight (which would normally lead too a much colder morning), the mercury is expected to remain relatively stable into early Tuesday morning. The return of a southerly wind flow overnight will help keep the temperatures milder as we head towards daybreak.
