Evansville Police are investigating after a man says his neck was cut while being robbed.

Police say they met the victim at an area hospital around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

The victim told authorities he was walking in an alleyway near the 900 Block of Main Street when the suspect demanded valuables.

Police say during this exchange, the victim was cut in the neck with the knife and walked to the hospital.

EPD says the victim described the suspect as a man who was approximately six-feet-tall, had a black hooded sweatshirt with the string drawn tight around the face, and blue jeans.

Police say the victim had visible injuries to his neck, but the full extent of those injuries are unknown at this time.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
