Mayor Tom Watson on Re-Election & Future for Owensboro

Owensboro Mayor Tom Watson joined 44News This Morning on Wednesday to discuss his win and plans moving forward.

Owensboro Mayor Tom Watson was successful in his re-election bid securing his third term on election night.

Watson had three challengers this year and was still able to get 41% of the vote. Larry Conder received 29% of the vote, Pamela Smith-Wright holding 21% and Dracin Williams receiving 9% of voter support.

On Wednesday morning Mayor Watson Joined 44News This Morning to discuss issues he wants to take on in his next term including improvements to infrastructure and public safety.

Mayor Watson invites everyone to tune in this weekend for the ceremonial lighting of the Blue Bridge in Owensboro that will now be happening virtually. The ceremony will be live streamed on the city's website.
