The Kentucky State Police says a 34-year-old man from Calhoun, Kentucky, has been arrested on 200 counts of charges related to child sexual abuse material.

KSP says 34-year-old Samuel Cory Everly of Calhoun was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 5, after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.

According to KSP, the investigation began after it was discovered that Everly had been sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

KSP says that during a search warrant at a home in Calhoun, equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP's forensic laboratory for examination.

Everly is currently charged with 100 counts of Distribution of Matter Portraying a Minor in a Sexual Performance and 100 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying a Minor in a Sexual Performance.

According to KSP, each charge is a Class D Felony punishable by one to five years in prison.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.

It was another chilly start across the Tri-State; while we only dipped as low as 43° in Evansville, many others across the Tri-State fell into the upper 30s earlier this morning. The cool air didn't linger long however, temperatures quickly reached back into the mid 70s across the region this afternoon - higher pressure camped out over the southeastern quarter of the country will continue to keep the skies above the Tri-State clear while gradually driving temperatures higher over the next few days. Despite our anticipated southerly winds this evening, you may still want to grab a jacket before your head out to dinner; after seeing a temperature near 64° around dinnertime, we'll fall off toward the mid to upper 50s by 10 o'clock. Overnight lows will again dwindle into the mid to low 40s for the majority of the Ohio Valley early Tuesday morning.
