Muhlenberg County Adds 17 New Coronavirus Cases

The Muhlenberg County Health Department is currently managing 212 active cases of the coronavirus.

As far as case counts go, 17 new cases in Muhlenberg County is nothing to be alarmed about.

But Tuesday's number continue an alarming trend for the community with nearly 50 new positive cases now tallied this week after recording 28 Monday.

That brings the total number of cases to 3,443 since the pandemic began.

The health department will be doing free COVID-19 testing at the Muhlenberg County Health Department on August 10.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another abnormally mild day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon. Friday evening looks as though it will be just as pleasant; after seeing the upper 60s earlier in the day, we'll dip to 60° by 5 PM before falling towards 54° around 7 o’clock. We are however, watching a passing low pressure system and accompanying cold front that is expected to pass through the Tri-State late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
