Muhlenberg County Reports 14 New Positive COVID-19 Cases

14 more residents of Muhlenberg County were confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday by the local health department.

The Muhlenberg County Health Department said Monday that 14 new positive cases of COVID-19 had been identified.

Following Monday's report of 14 new positive cases, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases identified in the county to date is now 769. 

According to MCHD, 60 of the county's COVID-19 cases are currently active, with 58 of those individuals recovering from the virus at home, and two of them hospitalized with it.

So far, 12 total Muhlenberg County residents have died from COVID-19. Nine of those total COVID-19 deaths are within the community, while three have occurred within the Green River Correctional Complex.

MCHD will be at Midland Community Center on Sept. 23 and the Beechmont Community Center on Sept. 28 for free COVID-19 testing. Those interested in getting a test at either location can call 270-754-3200 for an appointment.
