The Muhlenberg County Health Department released new COVID-19 data on Tuesday.
MCHD reported one new COVID-19 death Tuesday, in addition to 24 new positive cases of COVID-19.

That brought the total number of Muhlenberg County residents known to have tested positive for COVID-19 to date to 1,932, and the total number of county residents known to have died from the virus to 37.
According to MCHD, the county currently has 172 active cases. Of those individuals, 167 are quarantined and recovering at home, while five are hospitalized.
MCHD will be offering free COVID-19 testing at several different locations in the new year.

Though the testing at those locations will be free, an appointment must be scheduled by calling 270-754-3200.
