Muhlenberg County Reports Eight New Covid-19 Cases

The Muhlenberg County Health Department reported another eight Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing their total to 2,731 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

The Muhlenberg County Health Department (MCHD) reported another eight Covid-19 cases on Thursday, bringing their total to 2,731 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

The MCHD reports they are currently managing 69 active cases.

The MCHD will be at Midland Community Center on March 1 for free Covid-19 testing. If you'd like to schedule an appointment, call 270-754-3200.

The MCHD provided the following tips to help slow the spread of Covid-19

Wear a mask when you are with any person that does not live in your household, especially ifyou cannot maintain a physical distance of 6 feet or more.
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Avoid touching your face.
Stay home when you are sick.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning6spray or wipe.

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some higher amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
