Multiple shooting investigations are currently underway in Henderson, Kentucky.

The Henderson Police Department responded to the first reported shooting on Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Pringle Street and Kleymeyer Avenue.

Minutes later as officers were still responding to that area, they heard more shots fired in the area of Fernwood Cemetary on Madison Street.

Then, around 5:45 p.m., authorities responded to a new shots-fired call on Clay Street.

Due to the nature of the calls, the soccer game at South Middle School was called off. Any students and parents were put on lockdown then released under a supervised release from school staff.

According to authorities, one man was taken into custody in connection to the shootings but that man's identity hasn't been released at this time.

HPD is asking anyone with information on either event to call 270-831-1295 or Crime Stoppers at 270-831-1111.

We're told more information will be released when it becomes available.

Just another day in paradise; afternoon highs again topped out in the mid to low 70s across the Tri-State under a mix of sun and clouds. If you have plans out and about this evening, make sure to grab a jacket before you head out - after seeing temperatures near 64° around dinnertime, the mercury will dip to 57° by 10 o'clock before falling all the way back down into the mid to upper 40s early Wednesday morning. Sure, tomorrow morning's lows of 47° will represent our mildest start to a day since this past Friday, but it's still going to make for a cool start to our midweek nonetheless. The combination of sunshine and southerly winds however, will help drive temperatures back into the low 70s by lunchtime - if you're planning on lunching outside Wednesday, make sure not to do so in the shade. Wind gusts near 15 mph at times during our lunch hour will make for a chilly brown bag lunch outdoors.
