The Hoosier State may become the epicenter of collegiate basketball for March and April of 2021.

The NCAA has announced that they have entered into preliminary talks with the State of Indiana and the City of Indianapolis to potentially host the entire 68-team NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

The Division I Men's Basketball Committee decided that the tournament should be held in a single geographic area due to uncertainty about whether travel will be possible next March and April.

Potentially, this would be the return of the tournament since it was lost due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic last March.  After several conference tournaments canceled due to COVID cases, NCAA officials decided to cancel the tournament out of a precaution to keep people safe.

NCAA headquarters are located in Indianapolis.  No word if there these games will be played with fans in attendance or if it will be a "bubble" atmosphere, similar to the NBA this past summer and fall.
