Two local organizations celebrated the day by helping others register to vote.

Tuesday, The League of Women Voters Southwest Indiana and the NAACP held two voter registrations events at Patchwork and the NAACP office. Organizers say they run into a lot of voting hestitancy, because some people simply don't know if they can vote. "We want everyone who is eligible to vote, to vote. If they don't know how, we can do it here or help them find it on their phone"

The voter registration office tells 44News, 131,000 residents in Vanderburgh County are currently registered to vote.

In Indiana, the last day to register is 29 days before the election. Click here to register

Monday morning, we will see partly sunny skies with temperatures still in the mid 20°s. By the afternoon, we will be warming up into the mid 40°s with cloud coverage increasing. This is due to a cold front expected to traverse the tri-state overnight Monday.
