New COVID-19 Death Confirmed in Daviess County, Kentucky

The Green River District Health Department is reporting a new COVID-19 death in Daviess County, Kentucky.

On Monday, the Green River District Health Department (GRDHD) reported 86 new positive COVID-19 cases and one new COVID-19 death in its seven-county Kentucky area.

GRDHD said the new COVID-19 death confirmed on Monday occurred in Daviess County, where 34 new positive cases of the virus were also reported.

Here's where the other 52 new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified in the district Monday:

  • Hancock County: 2 new positive cases
  • Henderson County: 39 new positive cases
  • Ohio County: 2 new positive cases
  • Union County: 5 new positive cases 
  • Webster County: 4 new positive cases

According to GRDHD, 17,986 total positive cases of COVID-19 have now been identified throughout the district to date, as have 307 total COVID-19 deaths.

Statewide in Kentucky, 362,890 total positive cases of COVID-19 and 3,745 total COVID-19 deaths are currently being reported.

Temperatures were a heck of a lot more bearable earlier this afternoon - despite our northwesterly winds, temperatures peaked at 54° in Evansville earlier on and are expected to remain quite comfortable as we head into the evening hours. Expect temperatures ranging from 48° to 41° between 7 PM and 10 PM; though the added cloud cover over the coming hours will only allow temperatures to fall as low as 38° by early Wednesday morning. It's not all good news however, it looks as though some of us (especially those north of the Ohio River) could see periods of scattered rainfall throughout our Wednesday morning.
