New COVID-19 Death Reported in Daviess County, Indiana

Health officials in Indiana's Daviess County are reporting a new COVID-19 death within the county.

According to the Daviess County Health Department, another Daviess County, Indiana resident has died from COVID-19.

The county's health department announced the new COVID-19 death on Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the county to date to 24.

DCHD says so far, 527 total county residents have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The county health department also added 46 new positive cases (since Aug. 28) to the county's confirmed total number of positive cases on Monday.

So far, 4,252 Daviess County residents have been tested for COVID-19, meaning 12.39% of all county residents who have been tested have tested positive for the virus.

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some higher amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
