New COVID-19 Death Reported in Henderson County

A new COVID-19 death was confirmed on Wednesday in Henderson County, Kentucky.

The Green River District Health Department said Wednesday that a new COVID-19 death had been identified in one of the Kentucky counties in its seven-county area.

With new deaths reported in the GRDHD district on both Monday and Tuesday, this comes as the third consecutive day of COVID-19 deaths in the district.

The new death reported Wednesday was identified in Henderson County, according to GRDHD, bringing the county's total number of COVID-19 deaths so far to 77, and the district-wide total of COVID-19 deaths to 392.

In addition to the new COVID-19 death recorded Wednesday, GRDHD said 27 new positive cases of COVID-19 had been identified:

  • Daviess County: 14 new cases
  • Hancock County: 1 new case
  • Henderson County: 2 new cases
  • McLean County: 2 new cases
  • Ohio County: 1 new case
  • Union County: 5 new cases
  • Webster County: 2 new cases

Throughout the seven-county district, 21,712 total positive cases of COVID-19 have now been identified to date.

Statewide, Kentucky is currently reporting 446,221 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 6,532 statewide deaths.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another abnormally mild day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon. Friday evening looks as though it will be just as pleasant; after seeing the upper 60s earlier in the day, we'll dip to 60° by 5 PM before falling towards 54° around 7 o’clock. We are however, watching a passing low pressure system and accompanying cold front that is expected to pass through the Tri-State late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
