Another COVID-19 death was reported in Vanderburgh County on Friday by the Indiana State Department of Health.
According to ISDH, 391 total COVID-19 deaths have now been confirmed in the county since the beginning of the pandemic.
Including the new death reported in Vanderburgh County on Friday, ISDH said that 20 new COVID-19 deaths had been identified throughout the Hoosier State.
That brought the number of COVID-19 deaths throughout the state to date to 12,662 total.
As for new positive COVID-19 cases, ISDH said 1,256 had been identified throughout the state on Friday.
Here are Friday's reported local increases:
- Vanderburgh County: 20 new cases
- Gibson County: 18 new cases
- Warrick County: 11 new cases
- Dubois County: 5 new cases
- Posey County: 4 new cases
- Knox County: 3 new cases
- Perry County: 2 new cases
- Pike County: 0 new cases
- Daviess County: 0 new cases
Now, 688,916 total Hoosiers are confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19 to date.
As of Wednesday, all Hoosiers age 16 and older became eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
ISDH says that as of Friday, 1.197,229 individuals have been fully vaccinated in Indiana.
