New COVID-19 Death Reported in Wayne County

The Wayne County Health Department on Tuesday reported one new COVID-19 death within the county.

According to the Wayne County Health Department, five Wayne County residents who had lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 have now passed away.

That's after the health department reported one new COVID-19 death within the Illinois county on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

WCHD also reported four new positive cases of COVID-19 within the county on Tuesday, in two females in their 40's, a female in her 50's and a male in his 50's.

So far, 222 total positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Wayne County.

Four COVID-19 patients in the county are currently hospitalized, while 87 are currently isolating at home. 126 county residents have recovered so far.
