New COVID-19 Deaths Reported in Daviess and Henderson Counties

In western Kentucky on Friday, new COVID-19 deaths were reported in Henderson County and Daviess County.

The Green River District Health Department is reporting new COVID-19 deaths in Henderson County and Daviess County, Kentucky.

GRDHD said Friday that one new death had occurred in each county, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Daviess County to date to 187, and the total number of COVID-19 deaths to date in Henderson County to 82.

Throughout its seven-county district, GRDHD says 403 total COVID-19 deaths have now occurred to date.

In addition to those new COVID-19 deaths, GRDHD also said Friday that 61 new positive cases of COVID-19 had been identified in the seven-county district. The newly reported cases were investigated between June 1 and June 3, according to GRDHD.

New COVID-19 Cases in the GRDHD District Friday:

  • Daviess County: 16 new cases
  • Henderson County: 12 new cases
  • McLean County: 5 new cases
  • Ohio County: 6 new cases
  • Union County: 12 new cases
  • Webster County: 10 new cases

To date, 22,428 total positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the seven-county district, with a district-wide recovery rate of 90%.

According to GRDHD, the district's seven-day average for new cases is now 13.6 new cases per day.

Statewide, Kentucky is currently reporting 459,540 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 7,077 statewide deaths.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another abnormally mild day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon.
