The Children's Museum of Evansville (cMoe) is planning on opening a new exhibit on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The new exhibit is called 'The Amazing Castle' traveling exhibit, where kids will 'travel back in time' to a medieval village with opportunities for problem-solving, storytelling, and imaginative play.

According to cMoe, children and their families will role-play as royalty and castle villagers, build a chair or make their own design in the Carpenter’s Workshop, craft a miniature community, build a fortress using stone blocks, and more.

The new exhibit will be available through Jan. 10, and the children's museum says it has implemented cleaning, social distancing, and safety procedures to protect the health and wellbeing of guests, volunteers, and staff.

cMoe says 'The Amazing Castle' traveling exhibit was created by the Minnesota Children's Museum and was made possible by funding from the Old National Foundation.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another abnormally mild day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon. Friday evening looks as though it will be just as pleasant; after seeing the upper 60s earlier in the day, we'll dip to 60° by 5 PM before falling towards 54° around 7 o’clock. We are however, watching a passing low pressure system and accompanying cold front that is expected to pass through the Tri-State late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
