If you are near downtown Evansville and looking for some fresh fruit and vegetables, there's a new spot to get that produce.
A new Tenbarge Pop-Up Produce Stand will be spending every Tuesday this summer at the corner of 4th and Mulberry.
Different vendors will be selling fresh produce and other products from the farm.
The pop-up stand offers downtown consumers another choice when it comes to fresh farmer's markets.
The Tenbarge stand will also help families who qualify for SNAP and other food-related assistance programs get fresh fruits and vegetables with those vouchers.
"Each one of the WIC clients per household can receive three $8 dollar checks they can spend throughout the summer at various farm markets. They don't have to spend them here today, but we are encouraging it, and we love to bring them out here and introduce them to new fruits and vegetables and to try new things," said Mary Ellen Stonestreet, WIC Director for Vanderburgh County.
Vendors are accepting SNAP, WIC and senior vouchers at the pop-up shop.
