Thousands of gallons of rainwater flooded Northeat Dubois Intermediate School at the end of August.

This week, the school district released a video from that day, showing the devestating flooding.

"We've gotten water in there from severe rains before but nothing that was of this magnitude," said Bill Hochgesang, Northeast Dubois County School Corporation Superintendent.

In many hallways, water rose to over two feet.

The cafeteria is expected to be cleaned and able for use in two weeks.

Other parts of the building may take months to clean. The gymnasium and surrounding hallways will be closed for the remainder of the school year.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
