Newburgh Hosts Family Friendly Pride Day on Saturday

On Saturday, Dragged Out Productions hosted a family friendly pride day which included story hour for children, a socially distanced dance hour, and multiple local vendors.

In Newburgh, the community hosted a family friendly pride day.

On Sunday, several people attended the event which included drag story time and a family friendly drag show

Officials say due to covid-19, they kept to a quarter of the capacity, but the event was a way to rally behind the community.

"We're supporting the community by gretting a crowd of people out there, reading to the kids, showing them that story hour is fun," said Brock Harder, President of Dragged Out Productions. "A lot of people have a different conception of drag story hour."

Todays pride day also included several vendors.

Organizers say they are hoping to host the event at the same park again in october.
