The Evansville Water Sewer and Utility Department says several customers in the North Park area will have a boil advisory in effect until at least Monday, Oct. 18th.
"Water samples did not pass a series of water quality tests," said Ella Johnson-Watson, Deputy Director Public Information Officer for EWSU. "Two consecutive days of clean test results are required before the boil advisory can be lifted. EWSU lab technicians will test water samples from the area again today and Sunday."
Johnson-Watson says the advisory will be lifted as soon as the water samples are up to safe water drinking standards.
Until it is lifted, EWSU advises customers to continue to boil water for any cooking or drinking needs.
