North Posey High School Student Tests Positive for COVID-19

After a student of North Posey High School tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend, four other students were quarantined as a result of contact tracing.

The Metropolitan School District of North Posey Administration announced Tuesday that a positive case of COVID-19 has been identified within the North Posey High School student body.

According to a statement from the school administration, the student tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend.

MSD of North Posey's statement says after working with the Posey County Health Department, contact tracing was completed.

Officials at North Posey High School tell 44News four students were quarantined as a result of the contact tracing, and that school will continue as scheduled on Wednesday.

As of Tuesday, the state health department said 236 total Posey County residents had tested positive for COVID-19 so far.
