A new partnership will give more Hoosiers the opportunity for COVID-19 immunity.

Starting Tuesday, the Vanderburgh County Health Department will administer 800 Moderna COVID-19 vaccines weekly from the Old National Events Plaza. The mass clinics will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until the end of March.

Before, the Health Department operated the vaccine clinics in their building. Joe Gries, Vanderburgh County Health Department Administrator says the new space will allow more appointment times.

The number of weekly vaccinations will depend on vaccine availability.

Parking at the Old National Events Plaza is free and located at the corner of Locust and 9th Streets. Limited 1-hour parking, including ADA accessible parking, is available in front of the venue.

Those with mobility issues may call 812-483-8365.

To check vaccine availability or schedule your vaccination appointment, visit the Vanderburgh County Health Department Website.

Tonight it will be much colder with an overnight low of around 22 degrees, with a light north wind. On Tuesday, highs will only be in the middle 30's and then we throw in a chance of flurries overnight. Best chance of flurries will be along and north of I-64.
