Around 2:48 p.m. on Monday, multiple emergency response agencies responded to a crash with serious injuries at the intersection of Highway 57 and Baumgart Rd in Evansville, Indiana.

According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office, the crash involved a blue 1997 Jeep Wrangler SUV and a yellow 2007 Mack tri-axle dump truck.

VCSO says the initial investigation indicated that the Jeep was "driving erratically" on Highway 57 before entering oncoming traffic and colliding with the Mack truck.

In accordance with state law regarding crashes that result in serious injury or death, both drivers took a post-crash blood draw.
