Friends of Sinners (FoS), a drug-recover program in Owensboro, Kentucky, is sharing the story of one of its volunteers turning over a new leaf.
FoS says volunteer Seth Barnhart spent several years in prison, and at age 18, put a rebel flag tattoo on his calf.
Now, nearly 20 years later, FoS says Barnhart is a new man.
Barnhart approached Brian Benoit, owner of Shaka Tattoo in Owensboro, about covering his old tattoo. FoS says Benoit was not only willing to cover the tattoo, but that he wanted to do so for free.
"Brian appreciates the work that Friends of Sinners does and is willing to cover any prejudiced tattoo on clients and volunteers of the program at no cost," FoS explained.
Barnhart covered the rebel flag tattoo with the organization's logo.

When we asked Seth why he wanted his old tattoo covered up, he said “I want to love others the way Jesus Christ loves me, and there’s no place for hate in God’s Kingdom.”
