Owensboro Catholic High School Closes Due to High Waters

Owensboro Catholic High School has closed for Thursday due to high waters caused by rain.

High waters in Owensboro on Thursday caused a local high school to close for the day.

According to Owensboro Catholic Schools, Owensboro Catholic High School is closed for Thursday due to continued high water in the school's parking lot, and on Parrish Ave.

Owensboro Catholic Schools says K-8 is in session and will be dismissed at the regularly scheduled time.

The high school was previously on a one hour delay due to the rain, which was later increased to a two hour day until the decision was later made to close the school for the entirety of the day.

Our winds will shift southward overnight tonight into early Wednesday morning and while it won’t necessarily drive temperatures higher for the predawn hours, It will help keep temperatures from falling much further than where they currently stand. Extract the morning low temperature near 29° in Evansville as we kick off our midweek.
