Owensboro YMCA's Childcare Department Under COVID-19 Quarantine

The Owensboro Family YMCA says its Childcare Department is currently under quarantine due to a COVID-19 exposure.

The Owensboro Family YMCA  in Owensboro, Kentucky, says its Childcare Department is currently under a 10-day quarantine period.

The Owensboro Family YMCA announced the quarantine period on Tuesday and says it's being observed due to a positive case of COVID-19 within the childcare department.

The YMCA says its afterschool and Wee Care services will reopen on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021.

Owensboro Family YMCA says it was instructed to implement the quarantine by the Green River District Health Department, which reported almost 400 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Daviess County alone on Tuesday.

The Owensboro Family YMCA says its Director of Childcare is in the process of notifying all affected parents and guardians.

It was another cool, though overall pleasant day across the Tri-State - after only seeing temperatures dive as low as 22° early this morning, peak temperatures ended up climbing a few degrees higher than Thursday's; that being said, Evansville’s high temperature of 27° Was still 15° below average for this time of the year. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will gradually fall for 23° around dinner time back down to 19° by10 PM. A weak northerly wind flow most of the night paired with our crystal clear skies will cause temperatures to of fall back down into the mid to low teens once again - Evansville's anticipated low temperature of 12° will mark or coolest since the morning of January 7th.
