PorchFest is back in Owensboro, KY Saturday for live music, food, and family friendly fun.
Porch Fests are trending all across the nation as a celebration of music and community. Various Owensboro neighbors are turning their porches into stages for musical acts and food vendors.
Owensboro’s own PorchFest will take place from Frederica Street to Robin Road from noon until 11PM on June 12th.
Organizers say this event takes families back to the days when neighbors would gather on each other’s porches to tell stories, sing, and play music.
There will be a variety of food trucks. A full list of vendors can be found on the event’s website https://porchfestobky.com.
Organizers recommend PorchFest attendees bring chairs or blankets for lounging and listening to music, bike or walking shoes, water and sun protection. Cash is also recommended to support artists, vendors, and food trucks.
Griffith Avenue will be closed to traffic and parking for the event.
Attendees can park along the streets or at Owensboro High School.
More information can be found at https://porchfestobky.com or on the event’s Facebook page. A full map of when and where artists will play can be found there as well.
