An Owensboro man remains behind bars following a pursuit with Kentucky State Police Sunday afternoon.

KSP says that 27-year-old Garret Stone faces multiple charges, including Wanton Endagement of Police Officers, Fleeing and Evading, Driving Under the Influence, after a pursuit that started on the U.S. 60 Bypass.

Around 5pm, KSP observed Stone's car speeding along the bypass.  After trying to pull over the car, a 40-mintue chase took place throughout Daviess County.

During the pursuit on Millers Mill Road near Spring Hill Drive, troopers were able to disable the fleeing vehicle.  After the car stalled, troopers surrounded the vehicle but, Stone continued to make threats towards KSP.  One trooper was able to use the taser and arrested Stone.

He was booked in Daviess County Jail.

The bitterly cold start to our Wednesday will inevitably lead to a cooler-than-average afternoon across the Tri-State. We're currently expecting an afternoon high of 26° in Evansville on Wednesday afternoon (that’s 17° below average for this time of the year). Temperatures will once again dive back down towards the teens for many of us overnight and into early Thursday. As for right now Thursday morning looks as though will be slightly warmer, but only just - believes model data indicates that we will see a morning low temperature of 14° under partly cloudy skies in Evansville tomorrow morning.
