Leaders with the Owensboro Public Schools district and the Owensboro Catholic Schools district are partnering up with Ethos labs to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to students.

Now that Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine has been made available to kids ages 5 to 11 through Emergency Use Authorization granted by the FDA, officials say they're giving kids in that age range a chance to get the shot.

The first vaccination clinic will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The vaccine clinic will be held drive-through style in the parking lot of the Owensboro Innovation Campus, which is located at 2631 S. Griffith Ave. Those attending are asked to enter the lot from the Scherm Road side of the building.

After receiving the first shot of the vaccine on Nov. 20, kids will need to register to receive their second dose at a second vaccine clinic that will be held at the same time and location on Saturday, Dec. 11.

The vaccine clinic is open to anyone ages 5 to 11, but registration is required. You can register online here: ethos-labs.com/testing-booking.

Monday morning, we will see partly sunny skies with temperatures still in the mid 20°s. By the afternoon, we will be warming up into the mid 40°s with cloud coverage increasing. This is due to a cold front expected to traverse the tri-state overnight Monday.
