An Owensboro, Kentucky woman has been identified as the victim of a drowning that happened over the weekend.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office says that 37-year-old Cassie Head of Owensboro was identified as the woman who drowned.

The incident took place on Saturday when the sheriff's office, the Daviess County Fire Department, and AMR responded to a possible drowning after a caller had found Head face down in the pool.

Head was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital where life-saving measures were attempted.

According to DCSO, the pool where the drowning occurred was at the home of one of Head's family members.

The sheriff's office says no foul play is suspected in Head's death.
