In Gibson County, an Owensville man was arrested and charged with battery on Sunday afternoon around 1 PM.

According to the release, Deputies Bryce Jutzi and U.B. Smith were dispatched to a welfare check on the 7000 block of South 1050 W. Upon arrival, Dep. Jutzi detected "elements" of a possible crime scene and began collecting statements.

After the investigation concluded, Dep Jutzi placed James Ayers of Owensville into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail on charges of Battery and a $750 bond.

A cold front will push through the Tri-State and will cause a few strong storms, that could have strong winds and even some torrential rain. Some flash flooding is a possibility. Strong winds overnight switching from the southwest to the northwest and may gust as high as 30 mph.
