Perry Co. Sheriff's Office Reporting Influx of Catalytic Converter Thefts

Sunday Afternoon, Perry Co. Sheriff's Department released a Facebook statement reporting an increased influx of catalytic converter thefts over the course of the last few weeks.

The most recent incident happened Sunday afternoon between 1-3:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 145 and 37.

Officials are asking for anyone with information, or witnessing a suspicious person around a Gray 2000 Toyota Front 4-Runner, please call Central Dispatch at (812) 547-7068 with any information.

It's a seasonable and dry start to Friday, but the heat is going to turn up this afternoon. Partly sunny skies will stick around with highs in the mid to upper 80s. The humidity may take the way it feels up a notch. Those southerly winds will help push in that moisture making it feel more like the low 90s. An isolated shower can't be ruled out, but any rainfall won't ruin our plans.
