On Monday, Perry County Memorial Hospital said the COVID-19 vaccine would now be mandatory for all of its employees.
A statement from the hospital said that the vaccine was being made mandatory to keep team members, patients, and the rest of the Perry County community safe.
PCMH says all employees must receive the COVID-19 vaccine by Oct. 4, 2021.
Currently, the hospital says more than 76% of its employees are vaccinated against COVID-19.
“We have an obligation to do everything in our power to protect the health and well-being of others and to help end this pandemic," remarked Bill Bryant, Chief Nursing Officer at PCMH.
