The person hit by a car on Diamond Avenue in Evansville on Tuesday night has died, according to state police.
Indiana State Police are continuing to investigate a fatal Evansville crash that happened Tuesday night.
The crash happened on Tuesday night around 8:35 p.m. on Diamond Avenue near Stringtown Road.
ISP says a 19-year-old Evansville man was driving west in the middle lane of a three-lane portion of Diamond Avenue, with vehicles traveling in the left and right lanes.
After passing Stringtown Road, ISP says the driver's vehicle struck an adult man who was attempting to cross all three lanes of traffic.
The man who was hit by the car was taken to Deaconess Midtown Hospital, but ISP announced Wednesday morning that the man had died.
ISP later identified the man who was killed as 35-year-old Sean Vaughn of Evansville.
The driver in the crash was not injured.
