Pickup Truck Catches Fire Along Oak Grove Road in Newburgh

The newer model Ford pickup was fully engulfed before fire crews could put out the flames.

A pickup truck caught fire, Monday evening, on Oak Grove Road in Newburgh.

The newer model Ford pickup was fully engulfed before fire crews could put out the flames.

The fire sparked around 6:30 pm, not far from John H. Castle Elementary School.

In a video captured by a Newburgh Woman, popping noises can be heard. According to the Ohio Township Fire Department there was ammunition and reloading supplies in the truck.

Warrick County Dispatch told 44News that no one was injured.

It is still unclear what caused the fire.

Our third day in a row with very mild temperatures. Highs across the Tri-State were in the low and middle 60's. A few showers at times crossed the area. A cold front will push through the Tri-State and will cause a few strong storms, that could have strong winds and even some torrential rain. Some flash flooding is a possibility. Strong winds overnight switching from the southwest to the northwest and may gust as high as 30 mph.
