The Pie Pan Restaurant & Bakery in Evansville, Indiana, is temporarily closing its doors due to staffing issues.
In a note posted on the restaurant's door, management says they hope to be back open on Monday, Aug. 2, for regular business hours.
The restaurant's assistant manager, Alysha Camp, says the restaurant is so short-staffed that all of its employees are working open-to-close seven days a week, prompting the temporary closure.
She told 44News that she's absolutely heartbroken over the temporary closure.
"When we have to turn people away it's heartbreaking," Camp said. "We have people who depend on us for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - this is the only place they eat. So it's very heartbreaking."
Camp says the restaurant is currently hiring for all positions, including server, prep, line cook, dish washer, host, and more. "We're looking to hire upwards of 10 people as soon as possible," she said.
The restaurant says that updates will be posted on its social media pages.
