Pleasant & Dry Thursday; Cooler Conditions Friday

We're waking up to cool and clear conditions this Thursday morning. No surprise here, it's going to be another beautiful day across the Tri-State. Highs will reach the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Beautiful skies are welcoming us on this Thursday morning. It's still a bit chilly this morning, but well above where we should be for this time of year. Most of us are in the mid to upper 30s, and some low 40s out there.

No surprise here... today is going to be awesome once again! High pressure will build over over the middle Mississippi and lower Ohio valleys behind the weak cold front that slid through the Tri-State yesterday. Sunny and blue skies can be expected with temperatures well above normal in the upper 50s to lower 60s - the River City will reach 62°.

Heading into tomorrow, models show a storm system sliding close to the region. No worries though, we are expected to stay rain free! However, an increase in clouds from the southwest will be possible Friday. Most of the associated precipitation will remain south of the Tri-State. Lows tonight will be generally in the low 30s under mostly clear skies. The additional clouds and cool northeast flow will bring afternoon highs on Friday down to the lower 50s.

Our snowy, slick start to the day gave way to a gloomy, gray and chilly afternoon throughout the Tri-State. After only reaching temperatures in the mid 30s early in the day, we will see temperatures gradually tumble back down into the upper 20s by 10 o’clock. Despite the gradual clearing conditions overnight (which would normally lead too a much colder morning), the mercury is expected to remain relatively stable into early Tuesday morning. The return of a southerly wind flow overnight will help keep the temperatures milder as we head towards daybreak.
