We're walking out the door to mild and cloudy conditions on this Wednesday morning. While it is a bit muggy out there, most of us are in the upper 50s and low 60s. You may need a light jacket to begin the day, but you'll be shedding off the layers this afternoon. Clouds will begin clearing this afternoon and that's really going to bump us up on the temperature ladder. Highs are expect to top out in the mid 70s under partly cloudy skies.

Tonight, temperatures are going to stay on the mild side. We'll dip down into the low 60s with mostly clear skies. Thursday looks even warmer; afternoon highs are expected to crack the 80° mark for the first time in over a week.

We're still waiting on the actual cold front to get here. That should arrive around dawn, bringing mainly light rain. The front may also be responsible for perking up a couple bands of heavier rain and lightning east of Evansville for midday Saturday.
