It wasn't a bad start to the work week! The Tri-State woke up to cool and dry conditions for the first half of Monday. It has been a light jacket type of morning with the partly sunny skies and light winds. You don't have to worry though, we'll be warming up this afternoon in the upper 60s and lower 70s. The strong southerly flow will strengthen this afternoon, which will keep us warm and on the breezy side. Gusts could be up to 25 mph at times.
As we ring in the first full week of Spring, we might as well expect some rainfall. We're tracking a storm system that's sitting over the Great Plains right now. It's part of a warm front that's expected to reach the Tri-State late tomorrow morning. Don't expect much rainfall from this system, but it's a good idea to keep your umbrella handy tomorrow. Highs will reach the mid 60s with sporadic showers through Tuesday.
There could be some lingering showers into Wednesday, but the above average temperatures will make all the difference after the warm front passes through. Afternoon highs could reach 72° under partly sunny skies.
