Police Respond to Burglary in Owensboro, Find Man Shot Multiple Times

Police in Owensboro found a 31-year-old man shot multiple times Thursday after responding to a burglary on Maple Street.

The Owensboro Police Department says 31-year-old Dewan Williams of Owensboro, Kentucky, was shot multiple times on Thursday during a burglary incident on Maple Street.

On Thursday just before 7:00 p.m., OPD officers responded to the 600 block of Maple Street on a reported burglary in progress. Responding officers were told a resident had been shot.

When they arrived, officers found Williams with multiple gunshot wounds to the arm, leg, and torso. 

Williams was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital by EMS, where he's expected to survive his injuries.
