A Vaccines in Kentucky Poll shows efforts to encourage Covid vaccines have persuaded many to change their mind about the shot.

This poll was conducted via telephone with 512 adults acorss the state from August 4 to September 4.

Compared to a smiliar poll from six months ago, overall hesitancy towards the vaccine has dropped by roughly one-third.

The research also shows nearly 75 percent of Kentuckians have received at least one dose of the Covid vaccine.

Around 20 percent of Kentucky residents who are unvaccinated say they will most likely get it.

Bluegrass State residents are split on masks, with one-third always wearing masks in public spaces. Two-thirds of people wear them occasionally or not at all.

Other findings show the pandemic is pushing overall vaccination rates down, a trend that could impact the health of Kentuckians in the future.

The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky conducted this research.

A line of sustained to heavy rainfall is expected to push northeastward across the Tri-State between the hours 7AM and 11AM Thursday morning; be sure to pack an umbrella early tomorrow, as that timeline will fall during your morning commute Thursday. After the initial line of rain exits east of the region, we'll continue to see periods of scattered rainfall throughout our Thursday afternoon and evening. Unfortunately, the same can be said for our Friday - lower pressure slowly spinning eastward will stall the rainfall and prolong our precip chances as we head into Friday afternoon and evening. It looks as though those chances of rainfall throughout our Friday will be sporadic at best and shouldn't lead to any significant disruption to those Friday night football games.
