As vaccination efforts continue across the country, President Joe Biden is encouraging new efforts to reopen in-person learning. Some teachers and even entire cities are pushing back saying it's still not safe to bring all students back to the classroom.
Right now about 70% of students are using some form of remote learning. Another 20% are learning completely online.

Some parents are concerned their children are falling behind with all the distance lessons. Mother Katie Dempsey, expressing frustration for what's happening to her daughter and thousands of other students, "How much should I prepare her for this if the carpet's going to get pulled out from underneath her again?"
Experts say children do need in-person learning for overall development and their well being.
