President Donald Trump said during an interview that he will not "waste" his time on a virtual debate with Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
During an interview with Fox Business, President Trump commented on an announced change Thursday morning by the Commission on Presidential Debates to move to a virtual format for the next debate on October 15th.
"The commission changed the debate style and that's not acceptable to us," Trump said during the interview.
"I'm not going to do a virtual debate. I'm not going to waste my time at a virtual debate."
The developments follow Biden saying that there shouldn't be a debate as long as the President remains COVID-19 positive.
The format was going to be a "town meeting" format with both candidates taking part from separate remote locations.
