Ramp Closure Scheduled on Highway 41 Near Princeton

INDOT is warning motorists of an upcoming ramp closure on Highway 41 near Princeton.

Posted: Oct 19, 2021 9:19 AM

The Indiana Department of Transportation is planning to completely close the ramp from northbound US 41 to County Road 550 South in Princeton, Indiana.

Beginning on or around Thursday, Oct. 21, INDOT says that contractors will close the ramp for pavement repairs.

INDOT says that during the closure, several sections of concrete will be replaced as well as the asphalt approach to the ramp.

The repairs come after a section of concrete on the ramp was noticed to be heaving. A temporary speed limit was placed on the ramp while INDOT worked to schedule the repairs.

Work is expected to take about a week depending upon weather conditions. The ramp will be closed around the clock during this project.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.

Monday morning, we will see partly sunny skies with temperatures still in the mid 20°s. By the afternoon, we will be warming up into the mid 40°s with cloud coverage increasing. This is due to a cold front expected to traverse the tri-state overnight Monday.
