Red Cross Hosting Blood Drive at Gibson County Fairgrounds

A blood drive is being planned in Gibson County by the American Red Cross.

The American Red Cross is partnering with the Labor Union Workers of Southern Indiana to hold a blood drive on Sunday, Sept. 5.

According to the American Red Cross, the blood drive will be held on Sunday, Sept. 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Gibson County Fairgrounds during the Labor Day Association celebration.

The blood drive will be held in the Toyota Events Center at the fairgrounds.

The Gibson County Fairgrounds is located at 709 N. Embree Street in Princeton, Indiana.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another abnormally mild day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon. Friday evening looks as though it will be just as pleasant; after seeing the upper 60s earlier in the day, we'll dip to 60° by 5 PM before falling towards 54° around 7 o’clock. We are however, watching a passing low pressure system and accompanying cold front that is expected to pass through the Tri-State late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
