Reward Increased for Information on Madisonville Block Party Shooting

The reward for information on a block party shooting that occurred in Madisonville in late-August has been raised.

The Madisonville Police Department is still investigating the block party shooting incident that happened on Aug. 30 in the area of Elm Street and Pride Avenue in Madisonville, Kentucky.

According to MPD, Madisonville City Hall Administration is committed to the safety of its residents and solving the crime, so they've joined with Hopkins County Crime Stoppers to raise to reward for initial information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for the shooting to a total of $2,500.

When the shooting incident occurred on Aug. 30, around 100 people were reportedly gathered at the block party. 

Five people were wounded during the shooting, with two of those individuals, a 43-year-old and a 14-year-old, being life-flighted to an Evansville hospital for their injuries.

MPD is strongly encouraging anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
